Coal Lake Camping is a family-owned and operated seasonal campground nestled on the shores of beautiful Coal Lake in Gwynne, Alberta.

Since 1985, we’ve proudly provided a peaceful, private retreat for campers seeking a true home-away-from-home experience in the heart of central Alberta’s scenic countryside. We’re a welcoming 33-site community, where generations of families return year after year to create lasting memories.

Our campground offers exclusive, gated access with full-service sites featuring 15-amp power, water, and sewer hook-ups, plus convenient dock and lake access for boating, fishing, swimming, and relaxing by the water. Coal Lake is known for its excellent fishing (notably pike), wildlife viewing, and tranquil setting—perfect for unwinding in nature without sacrificing comfort. The camping season typically runs from early May through late September
